In January 2021, a SmartLabel listing for a 20-ounce bottle of Frost Bite Zero Sugar was leaked. It was officially released to Walmart stores in the United States on March 23rd, 2020 as a permanent flavor, and was sold in 12-packs, 24-pack cubes, 16.9-ounce bottle multipacks, and 20-ounce Sidekick bottles. Also, the employee also gave a statement about the release, stating that it would get released in Walmart stores and mentioning a release date of April 2020. On January 15th, 2020, in a r/MountainDew Reddit post, Frost Bite was leaked by a PepsiCo employee named "mtndewinsider," showing an advertisement of a 16.9-ounce bottle of Frost Bite to which he later received as a 20-ounce test sample bottle. On April 13th, 2019, Speedway's social networking team confirmed that Pitch Black was later replaced by Cyclone. It shows that Cyclone was released in his local Speedway, marking the beginning of Cyclone in Speedway gas station locations as a permanent flavor. On February 20th, 2019, Mountain Dew Cyclone first appeared on the official PepsiCo Beverage Facts website. Its tagline was " DEW with a Blast of Natural & Artificial Citrus Punch Flavor."
